Presented in partnership with Greater Portland Landmarks, this intensive one-week program will provide participatory learning experiences in leadership and organizational development; stimulating education sessions; and up-to-the-minute information on current preservation practices, issues and action strategies. Timber Framing Workshop
July 7-11 and/or July 14-18
Sanborn Mills, Loudon, NH
Participants will build a small timber frame that can be used for an ice house, sap house, or feed mill using traditional and modern tools. Scott Carbonneau and Mark Boucher, instructors.

Sanbornton Barn Lecture & Tour
Co-hosted with the Sanbornton Historical Society

12th Annual International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW)
July 18-20, 2008
Barre, Vermont
IPTW is the only annual event in North America which brings the foremost practitioners of the traditional trades together in a single venue dedicated to sharing the skills and knowledge of all of the traditional trades through interactive "hands on" demonstrations. This will be the first IPTW held in New England. It will take place at the Jones Brothers Company granite shed, home of the Vermont Granite Museum and site of the Stone Arts School.
