Seven to Save Nominations Now Open
6/5/2008

Seven to Save, a program of the Alliance begun in 2006, identifies the most threatened historic properties in the state and helps focus attention and resources on saving these important parts of our shared heritage.

Nominations for the 2008 Seven to Save list are due September 15. Nominated sites should be significant representations of the state's heritage and at least 50 years old. Additional criteria include the severity of the current threat, and the extent to which the listing will make a difference in the future survival of the property.

Nominations to the New Hampshire Seven to Save list can be for residential or commercial sites, industrial heritage sites such as bridges or transportation structures, agricultural buildings, or even threatened building types or group nominations. Anyone can submit a nomination for the Seven to Save list -- concerned citizens, neighborhood advocacy groups, non-profit organizations, and others. Download a nomination form (pdf), or have one mailed to you by contacting Maggie Stier at 224-2281 or ms@nhpreservation.org.

The results will be announced in mid-October at the Preservation Alliance's annual meeting.

Seven to Save is generously sponsored, in part, by Lincoln Financial Foundation, Inc., Sheerr McCrystal Palson Architecture and Nathan Wechsler & Co.
